As 2022 comes to an end, so is my journey with Seni Children's Discovery House. This remarkable journey began in May 2022 when Seni Children's Discovery House took me in as an intern. As they said "actions speak louder than words", my decision to lengthen my contract after my internship placement with Seni Children's Discovery House clearly spoke of the wondrous working experience I had working there.

Role-model leaders, helpful colleagues, empathetic parents, happy children, and a fun working environment have taught and shaped me to be a better person. I learned so much during this working experience in engaging with people of different ages, from children to parents, people of different backgrounds and cultures, children with different needs, parents with different expectations, etc. I deeply cherish all the tough moment and sweet memories I had in Seni Children's Discovery House. I do think that this experience has impacted me in different ways. It was also hard saying goodbyes to the lovely children who always shower me with pure love and their kindest parents who always show their appreciation to me for assisting the development of their child. Not forgetting my beloved supervisors and colleagues who made me feel so cherished with all the love and support given. Thank you Seni Children’s Discovery House for the fondest memories!

Learning and attempting to independently handle multiple children at a low teacher-children ratio (1:3 or 1:4).

In charged of lesson planning and carried out gross motor skill activity with the children. Using banana to work on their gripping skills and sensory touch.

Nurturing children‘s interest in reading by spending time with them at reading corner.

Teaching children shapes and names.

Working on children’s hand strengths through daily worksheet activity (gripping and squeezing glue stick, pasting, tapping, holding worksheet paper, etc.)

Teaching jolly phonics and working on children’s speech as well as pronunciation.

Working on children‘s sensory touch with wet paint and paint brush. Introducing “mimicking” through art-and-craft worksheet by demoing simple gesture for them to imitate.

Pyjamas Party Day on the last day of school with the toddlers. Also, marks my last day with these lovely and adorable children.
